History

It all started in 1999 when we got our first trampoline and this is pretty much where we got our foundation from. We have always been athletic ever since we started walking doing different kinds of sports like gymnastics, diving and snowboarding. We decided to combine all the  knowledge and it brought us to the place where we are at right now. All came down to one sport in the end, wakeboarding.

In
2004 Benjamin wanted to try wakeboarding with his brother Johannes. They both were really into snowboarding but wanted to do something similar during the summers. After one year of wakeboarding Benjamin managed to win the Swedish Nationals in Junior Men and this is when Mattias and Jeremia started their path. Being lucky to have their background in many sports helped them to start improving really fast.

We stopped riding for almost two years, unfortunately our boat broke down but on the other side it gave us an idea to build a winch park into the forest (watch the video of  the winch park).

Year later, in 2009, we heard about System 2.0. We had a really good spot in our backyard where we could set one of these systems up. So Jeremia, Mattias, Johannes, Benjamin, Samuel Hoppe and Jonathan Lindberg put our savings together to start a company. After starting the company we took a loan from the bank to afford the 2.0 and some parts for the park. We tried to find sponsors who could help us out with our project but nobody really believed in our crazy ideas except for two companies,Vattensport.nu and Swef, so special thanks to them. Our vision was to have one of the coolest backyards in the world as having an extremesport complex in our backyard.

March,1 2010 we made a video wcpe wakepark. This was how we imagined and wanted the park to end up looking like. We started building right away and we were so exited to get this park done. The setback was that we did not have enough much money so we had to build everything ourselves. Three years later it started to look really good and here is the result wcpe wakepark 2012. We still have not finished everything and we probably never will because we come up with new ideas all the time which needs to be done. Today we can say we are lucky enough to own a pretty cool backyard, have some awesome friends who are always helping us, some sponsors and we are the organizing of Champ of Scandinavia the biggest wake event in Sweden.

The name Breddas was just a coincidence, it means brothers in Jamaican slang. We thought it sounded cool, we made a video of our best tricks during our trip to Thailand during winter 2011-2012 and named it “Breddas”. The video went big enough that we decided to start a team named Breddas.

Today’s date is October 10, 2012 and now we can say we have managed to bring something new into this sport and learned a lot about it as well. We have enjoyed every moment of it and in the future we would like to see ourselves having fun and pushing the sport even more.

Just have fun and we love you all!
